Good old fashioned food at it's best

INGREDIENTS

8 oz BUTTER
8 oz SUGAR
4 EGGS
VANILLA ESSENCE
14 oz SELF-RAISING FLOUR
MILK
GOLDEN SYRUP

METHOD

1. CREAM BUTTER, VANILLA AND SUGAR.
2. SLOWLY ADD EGGS
3. FOLD IN SIFTED FLOUR, ADD MILK TO ADJUST CONSISTENCY.
4. GREASE MOULDS WELL AND POUR IN A LITTLE GOLDEN SYRUP
5. FILL WITH SPONGE MIX AND STEAM
6. SERVE WITH LOTS OF CUSTARD AND EXTRA GOLDEN SYRUP
